Sorry to say but I have an 03, and have already had a new full long block installed. However, I am still burning about 1 quart every 1,200 miles. Take it too the dealer and get an oil consumption test.

Is it burning or leaking? Isn't a leak around the valve cover on one side quite a command problem

What bothers me is the fact that Nissan is ordering new engines for those people who are going threw this oil comsuption issue. The price of a new motor isnt cheep by any means, witch tells me this issue is larger then a simple external leak or valve seals etc, etc. im very interested in nowing what the deal is with this? this a design flaw or just a bad example of quality control?
