Cool The Dream Is Always The Same….

Ok, so, if you were alive in the 1980's, and by alive I mean with some consciousness of the world around you, not crawling around and drooling over the possibility that the automotive company of Nissan would someday compose the greatest human conveyance in the history of civilization, then you most likely recognize the movie from which I have chosen to adopt the opening quote as the title for this post. From that, you may also recognize the one which states, “sometimes, you’ve just got to say what the ****.”

Today is that day.

Our known and good friend of Rick from Status Auto Design was able to provide me with the wheels of my dreams. Currently on the way are a set of four 19 Inch Volk SF Winnings in Gunmetal. The fronts consist of 9.5 widths with a + 17 offset. The rears, that of a 10.5 with a + 19 offset.

I have been waiting for this for a long time and truly, good things come to those who wait.

I will see you all 28/10/07. Now, if you’ll excuse me….I do believe this calls for a drink.

That is all. As you were gentlemen.

And also quoting from the movie: "It's what you want. It's what every white boy off the lake wants".

no tires yet. I almost did but when I realized that these things are pretty much arriving when we're going to have about a foot of snow on the ground, I decided to keep some of the cash burning a hole in my pocket just there. Gotta have a few bills on hand for "incidentals." *Cough

Anyways...tires...thinking I'll try something completely new and go with Toyos lol. I'll order them in the new year when I put them on. I definitely need advice/suggestions on what to run/go with and who to buy from.

*Z_Away*

Ps. I think I need to quit my job. This is becoming a full time hobby. I snuck out for a few to order my wheels in the lobby lol

Another favorite quote and disturbingly accurate...when it comes to VOLKS that is lol Not sure about "the meat yet," as above. Need assistance and will research to come to a final decision. I suppose now that I have new wheels coming I could always use my old ones to nail a wild boar ala that previous post. That should supply adequate substance with regards to this meat you do speak of...

lol, it's only a few mm's more aggressive than yours :P I'm sure it won't be a problem

Get ready for some mega lippage! For those offsets, you really only have 1 option in the rear and 2 options in the front....

275/35/19s for the rears and either 245 or 255/35/19s for the fronts.

how low is your car? Im running a 19x10.5+25 offset inthe rear and at around 2.7 camber atm. 275/35/19 michelin PS2, you MIGHT need to roll your fender if you are running +17 offset cause im pretty damn close to rubbing. Then again different tires are different from one another so...

^^^ I thought your TE's are 10.5+22? And his rear is 10.5+19..so it's a 4mm difference. It's gonna be a tough call, but it should be ok.

Default Hey guys...

in terms of rubbing...I discussed this with Rick several times. He assured me that this was not the case in that neither the front nor backs would have this issue. He had mentioned how he applied this application to 350zs in the past and recently without concern. That being the case, I trust this to be true however, if there is a need for some further adjustment, I will cross that bridge when I come to it. From what I have researched and read, this will not be the case.

Mikhe...I am actually stock on all suspension components right now. I really just want to get the wheels in and mounted. From there I may look into suspension mods but one step at a time. Thanks for your input and numbers. Much appreciated!

yes, for me it was a too much to resist. Honestly, I was going to do wheels to start this year off but I added the body kit...then the hood. Now that winter is coming and the $ is just unreal, I knew I had to jump on it. On a side note, in all of my research, I could not find a lower price then the one from status for these types of wheels. Best of luck!
