First clean and completely dry the filter---I run my K@Ns though the dishwasher. When its 100% Dry, mist it with the oil (Spread the pleats) til it is an even red color. Let it dry at least an hour, pref in the sun or some place warm. Install

pop charge is pretty easy. Just follow the instructions that the K&N cleaning stuff has. I think the steps are rinsing out from the inside the filter...then apply the degreaser to remove the old oil...wait to dry (don't apply heat to it). then lightly apply the new oil and wait for dry again, then you're done!

btw, the shop i took my car to get my kit installed is run by a guy name Dat Duong...his number is 416-666-6333 Which kit did you get?

I suspect the Blue is like the K@N Red---Follow the procedures I outlined. The oil will not harm anything (MAF etc) if it allowed to DRY!
Nothing can be harmed if the oil is not sucked into the intake and if the oil is 100% dry (SET) it can go nowhere. It will, in its semi solidified state, simple act an adhesive for dust. If need be, let it dry over night.

In 20 yrs of using K@Ns I have never had adverse effects.

Keep in mind that a reusable filter is NOT a filter until the oil is properly appied

Dont SOAK the thing. Just use common sense and follow what I said earlier.

IF you soak it (1) the oil will take forever to dry (2) You will restrict air flow

yea, just spray enough for the oil to saturate the filter, and not dripping.
