I think only the tuner kits go for $5k... Most have dropped to the $7-8k can mark..

One thing I loved about the 240sx community was the ability to make BBK packages using other cars breaks.

ex. 300zx breaks, skyline breaks.. but there is one guy that put something amazing together.

CTS-V calipers
13" Cobra rotors
ss lines

all for ~$500, now that’s amazing looked unreal and he said the stopping power was incredible.

I wish people knew more about doing this kind of thing for the 350z (for the non Brembo guys)
