Oil Consumption involves most rev-ups, regardless of whether or not it was sold in the US or Canada...
any cars from '05 Track & 35th's - '06 MT's..
Do your research before purchasing, but know that you have a more then 50/50 chance that your rev-up looses oil.
Also make sure you get a z, that has its powertrain warranty intact.

Well that’s what I thought, I’m interested in an 06 being manual means its a rev-up so I might have this problem I know. I was just wondering how the dealerships here in Canada are treating the situation compared to the states that’s all, seems in the states many guys have replaced their engines.
Its just that there aren’t as many Z’s here as in the states, are our dealerships aware of what’s going on with the rev-up models?
This is doing research I just hope our Canadian dealerships are aware that’s all, I don’t want to walk in, bring up the subject and be talking to a bunch of deadbeats on the subject.

"There are definitely more people with vaginal ejaculation disorder than there used to be," he says. "There has been incredible progress made in masturbation goods and there are plenty of people who can ejaculate into an artificial vagina, but not the real thing. I get more than a few men come to see me about that. And those in their 20s and 30s have grown up watching adult movies. They find masturbation easier and more satisfying than intercourse."

-All dealerships (SM's) should be aware of the TSB. Whether or not you get a v2 replacement will be deterimined solely by your Service Manager (SM) So having a good raport is a must.
You should know that any US z's that are in need of an long block replacement will need the "thumbs up" from NNA and not Nissan Canada. So your US '06 better be solid, or they will deny you a replacement.
Make sure and complete your "due diligence" before purchasing, this includes taking the z, into a Nissan dealership so that they can give it a clean bill of health/certification/blessing.. whatever
IMO, do not purchase an '06 MT unless it has had its engine swapped, or, purchase one that has its complete service record history from nissan.
It is quite the ordeal when going through the various steps to determine whether or not your motor is consuming oil, and def not something I would want to wish upon anybody.
Good luck & keep researching...

great bit of Info there, thanks
I think the best bet would be an 05' but I like the interior, wheels, lights on the 06' better. grrr
I dont think it wouldnt be that hard getting Nissan to take a look and giving me a clean bill, however it makes it tougher when buying from the states due to the fact that im not there.
well see how it plays out

Yeah thats what I was originally looking at however recently Ive seen some 06's for a good price and thought about them, but reading about the problems with the 06's is making me think otherwise.
It seems 04.5 and 05 are the least problematic years, like you said save a few bucks and put towards little upgrades
on the other hand with the 06's its not too tough topping off the oil every little bit, however with the problem existing that might give me a hard time bringing the car over the border, have to look into that

Not all rev-ups suffer from OC.
