So I was drving down the Trans Canada here in Petawawa and coming from the other direction, what should I see? A Yellow R34 GTR approaching! I was like cool! But as it got closer, I saw that it was a Nissan Sentra with a front bumper and headlights designed to resemble a GTR. I was like OMG LOL RICE! HAHAHA LOSE.

I had a pretty decent home made turkey sandwich. Or sammich as I like to call it.
Today I discovered what the nastiest thing in the world is. Are you ready for it?
A wet doorknob.
It disgusted me to lengths I previously thought impossible. I nearly ran to the washroom to wash my hands, and then used my feet to nudge/kick all doors open.

I was doing some unnecessary research on LCD monitors, and I've come to the conclusion that the buggers are pricey. I was looking at a 24", since that size was mainly the domain of MVA/PVA and S-IPS panels, but to my great dismay a whole bunch of TN+ panels are now in there. There is a complete lack of documentation out there on what type of panel resides in your LCD, and to me that's almost a scary thought. The idea of shelling out big bucks on a monitor only to end up with a TN+ unit is bothersome to me.
Read here if you don't know what I'm talking about:
http://www.pureoverclock.com/article641-3.html
As a practical example, I have at home a really old MVA LCD, the Dell 1905FP. Compared to modern MVA panels it is a piece of crap. However, compared to the brand new TN+ panel I have at work, it is a freakin Rolls Royce. The difference in image quality is that obvious. I'm told that they can be decent if professionally calibrated with a color meter, but I don't have one of those, and don't intend to spend money on one. I've calibrated both using software based methods, and managed to get the picture to be a bit nicer on my home LCD, but the difference on my cheapo work LCD was staggering. Normally, I wouldn't bother calibrating my work LCD, since I don't do anything colour relevant on it. I don't do any PS work, web design, etc.. or even watch any movies. The only reason I did it, is because this piece of poop was unusable out of the box. It was so freakin bright and unnaturaly contrasted that my eyes were falling out.
In the end, I dunno where I'm going with this, but if you're an enthusiast, pay the extra $ and get an MVA/PVA panel, or S-IPS if you're ballin off the wallin.
If you're a cheap bastard, atleast calibrate your monitor, because that'll make it tolerable.
