hey random question...

for those of you who've orderd wheels from status auto,
they shipped with fedex and i just want to know if you had to pay duty/tax ?

i am filling out some release form for fedex now and i just want to know how much i should be expecting to pay.. . i was under the impression that the quote status gave me was to my door so i don't have to pay tax on top... but i might be mistaken.

you definitely need to pay tax on top. as for the tax, it's usually 13-15% of the declared value of the rims. Plus another $50/60 for Fedex to clear customs for you (though I think you can do this yourself for free).

i haven't gotten a quote from an online vender where they would pay for your customs fees. I could be wrong. if anything, take it up with Status and see what he says. He's been easy to deal with the few times I had talked to him, and one of my friends had gotten a set of work meister s1 from him, though i didn't ask him about the details.

yeah i figure i'll just ask him about it afterwards if anything... he seems like a really nice guy and i've read nothing but praise about status auto.

^^ yeah, where are my parts?!

okay, i must admit, frank and albert have been blowing up my phone all day today updating me on my parts. unfortunately it doesn't look like they're gonna get here in time, but at least they're harassing whomever they bought it from to get it here asap.
