Default Factory HID upgrade

Hey guys,
not sure about you but the headlights on my 05 Z are not very bright. The beam pattern is mint, but intensity is pretty sad compared to other factory HID's.

I was wondering if anyone her has replaced their OEM bulb with a new one of the same colour temp? Has this helped or must the ballast and bulb both be changed?

thanks

i'm too beat to write something complete so i'll just write random jibberish.

- you're looking to buy "D2R" bulbs x 2
- pmall sells no name D2R bulbs from korea, china, etc. for $100-150 (for 2 bulbs) that have colour temps of 6000K+.
- i paid 200 for philips brand 6000k bulb.
- PIAA 6800K was like $320

the end, you take a chance putting those no name brands in, but most of them have higher colour temps (6000K+). don't forget that the factory peanut bulbs have a fugly tint of pale yellow, so you may want to change those too while you're at it, maybe your DRL (h7's) too.
