Default Axle Noise (TSB?)

you can hear a constant "click" when driving at low speeds with the drivers window down. Is this the common rear axle TSB?

I had the axle TSB done last year (June 06) and have driven about 6-7K kms since then. My bumper to bumper warranty is now expired and one year left on powertrain. Should this be covered under powertrain if rear axle TSB needs to be done again?

i'm pretty sure that's the case. I've heard the TSB is only a temporary solution..and it's prone to reappear. I have the same problem and it hasn't bothered me enough to get it fixed.

you could always get an insanely loud exhaust which drowns out any clicking noises

^^ if your z is still under warrenty, why not? i took mine once and they "tightened something" in the rear which made the noise less noticable.

i got mine "fixed" the first year (they apparently lubed something in the rear axle). it went away for a long while but i'm not sure if it ever came back since my exhaust is so loud now and my clutch is so chatty that axle noise is the least of my concerns

i did the TSB too back in '04... fixed the problem for a couple years, it started to get louder as the years went by, but never as bad as when I first picked up the car

i can tell you which dealerships to stay away from.

1. Willowdale Nissan - mediocre customer service, small & crammed facilities, feels like they have inexperienced techs working there.

This is true, had it done once and I believe it's back.

So is this actually worth getting fixed if it comes back after a short while?
Is there a permanent fix to this "clicking"?
Mine is not too bad (yet) and only when going from a stop and/or reverse.
