and smasher i might be interested in the lapping...just dont know if i am confident with my stock brakes? i dunno i feel bad for the car if i run it that hard lol. but what time would u be doing the lapping? then what time would u go to the strip
Stock brakes will die in one lap. Trust me. I tried...

HPS will die in half a lap.

HP + FTMFW!!! 15 laps and no brake cooling!! andddd cheap

I hope my new engine and setup can at least kill some of the stockish Z's .

Wow - sounds like some great driving going to be taking place! Dave, Is it one of Gerry's lapping days? You'll like the Carbotech pads - but I thought you might go a bit more aggressive. I'm off to Shannonville this weekend so I won't be able to join you on the 20th, but I hope there's some good pictures. Video even!

Hey Frank
Ya I was thinking Gerry's Lapping on the 20th. Havent signed up yet I was going to wait to see how the weather looks monday/tues before commiting.

I talked to Mike jr. at Carbotech and told him I wanted something I could swap out at home before I get to get the track and not to agressive to eat my rotors. (I think Stoptech rotors go for aro 500 or somthing so...) XT-8's is what they said fit. If I start to do more lapping I can always upgrade later and get a set of rotors just forn the track I guess.

I need a sponsor!!!!!!

^^ i just did a quick mapquest from my house and it looks like the best place to meet is yorkdale (since we have to head west to the 427). is that good for everyone?

also according to mapquest, it's gonna take 2 hours (under normal traffic), so i think we should meet and leave no later than 5-530.
