Front License Plate?
Like some others here I purchased my car from the states. I don't have the front license plate installed and I've had it for about 8 months now without getting a ticket. But everytime I see a cop I get paranoid about getting one so I'm thinking about just installing it. Of course I'd much rather not as the car looks way better without it. What do you guys think? And any experiences (getting a ticket) you'd like to share?

I have my front plate on even though the car looks way better without it. I drove for awhile with my old car with no front plate, after a few tickets I put It back on.
If I were you I would make a bracket or use zip ties so you don’t have to drill into the bumper. That way you can remove it for pics. I wish my front bumper didn’t have the holes.

Never a ticket here yet (3years). Just don't do anything stupid to draw attention to yourself and always keep it in the car. I keep mine under the floormat ready to throw in the dash if need be.
Canadian police are different from US police. I was fine for about 3 months without a front plate, then i was pulled over twice in a week specifically for having no front plates (both officers made a u-turn just to pull me over).
if you won't want to drill holes on the bumper, just use 4 zip ties and tie it to your grill.
and throwing it on the dashboard is even worse, as it's a flying piece of metal really to slice something off in an emergency stop...Cops WILL pull you over for putting your plate there.

In CA, the issue is generally "toll roads". Cars that run tolls without stopping at the booth are often photographed from the front as they blow the toll. No plate, no citation. As toll roads come in, so do no front plate citations.

There are a couple brackets available that use the tow hook receptacle so you don't have to drill into the body.
I don't need to get pulled over for something like that. I may be violating another law that wouldn't be noticed if I had a plate on.

Kasim - Yea, but you have a Civic. I'm pretty sure cops would still pull you over stock. If I had a Honda, I would not even have the tiniest bit of bait on it, since it's really obvious that cops love picking on them.
I'm thinking of maybe purchasing this:

Does anyone know if this would fit properly?
