in actual fact, to get the best spark possible you would want to go with copper. platinum plugs just last longer but have less of a spark and even worse for iridium, they just last even longer then platnum but have even less spark. i learned this from neetronics (paul neethling) when i had my wrx tuned. He highly supports copper plugs as they have the best spark and less blow out. The downside to the coppers is that they need to be properly gapped and dont last very long, especially with FI. with coppers you would have to change them at minimum once a year. correct me if im wrong guys. either way you will be fine. just maybe have to be replaced before the recomended 50km or what ever it is.

i used the g-power platinum 6 heat-range for about 15K and they were showing minor signs of arcing (which apparently is a bad thing), so i switched them out for the iridium ix in the 7 heat-range and i did notice an improvement on idle. power loss from heatsoak didn't feel as bad either.
