with VDC off it is much easier to drive, IMHO.
Jon is one hell of a good driver.

Some of you sound like you know what you're talking about, so here goes my question:
During warm weather (like 365 days a year, down here!), is it O.K. to drive with the VDC
off all the time?--'xept when it's raining, of course. What's the advantage, better mileage?
Thanks!

+1.....leave it on..no worries........turn it off when you get stuck in a pile.
making a right turn in a pile of snow is not a good idea (with VDC ON).

Yes you're fine to turn it off - no real advantages for normal driving. Benefits to it is that it will not interfere if you're doing some "spirited" driving and dont want to it cut power and make the car less predictable at speed. (you go into a turn hot at the track or you launch at the strip and it cuts power down ect)

Quebec, Canada / I drive my Z in winter and I like it better when VDC is off. It's a lot of fun and no need for the handbrake! Seriously at first I would let it on and it would take for ever to start from a complete stop (in a snow storm or when very icy). I figured out that if I let it on, the best way to start is to press the gas all the way down and let vdc do its thing until reasonable speed is reached.
