The obvious issues are rust and paint condition. Sand and Salt will destroy the car's clear coat and interior surfaces. There is increased wear on all mechanical parts in the cold. For example, a car that is daily driven in the snow will have suffered at least 2 cold starts per day from very low temperatures where oil viscosity is extremely high. From November 1st to March 31st that is AT LEAST an extra 302 cold starts per year from very low temperatures that a DD winter Z has seen versus a summer only Z. If you are looking at a 2003 or 2004 that is at least an extra 1800 to 2100 starts from cold temps. As you know most engine wear occurs at start up. Like I said this goes for all parts on the car.

Aside from this, people who only drive their cars in the summer tend to really care for their car mechanically and esthetically. I know I over value my car tremendously. People who see it as just another semi-cool DD will not spend as much on maintenance and upkeep in any way shape or form.
