Default wtb small front and rear spacer(WHEELS)

Hello,

I have a new set of volks 18 inch up front and 19 in the rears. Now, i need to stick them out a bit. My question is

1) what are the widest tires i can use on the front and rear without throwing the vdc off. Also,

2) whats the largest spacer i can put on the front and rear.

My car is dropped with eibach pro kit.

Also,

I need some spacers and rear tires.
Let me know what you have

CASH in hand

Would help to know the offset of your current wheels to see what you can run. If you have a strong offset like +22 to add a 10mm spacer you would need to roll your fenders or have a seriously heavy camber setting. I know a guy to roll fenders if you want, he did mine for a good price.

you're going to want to get ARP studs anyways.

i've confirmed that the 10mm spacers i have are a perfect fit for you.. hub centric and all.. but again, you really should have ARP studs.

Nick, I used these and they work really well. No need to different studs or anything, just an easy bolt on and go.

They come with small bolts that go onto your stock wheel studs and have a funny bolt adapter to tighten them down. Then your wheels go onto the gold bolts just like stock.

gotta make sure that they are perfectly hub centric...

moreover, i'd be leary of running china wheel studs, which those are... China or Taiwan.

Your best bet, without question, is to run ARP wheel studs. They will cost a bit more but you will never strip them.

I've run alot of the spacers like those above and i have stripped the studs on multiple occassions... when you wheel-on and wheel-off often you tend to go pretty quickly and alot of studs are simply not up to it.

As i mentioned Nick, i recommend you take your car to SG Motorsport and have sasha get you some ARP studs. He'll install the studs and my spacers for you. You'll want to see the toys he has in the shop.

The price on my site includes gst and pst and shipping... priced per pair though so $140 for 4.

Bing, Project Kics are hubcentric 100% and they are made in Japan. Kics are high end spacers used in many forms of motorsports, they are far from China / Taiwan spacers. I have seen those spacers and they are scary to say the least, Kics are top notch quality which is why they are $130 a pair.

I own a set of Project Kics in 15mm on the front of my car and 25mm Eibach on the rear. I would say the Project Kics are better than the Eibach spacers in terms of quality, and Eibach is a good name.

Bing, post some pics of your spacers though, because I was thinking of going to a 20mm spacer on the front of my car.

Edit,, ohh I see them above. nothing with studs already there?

personnaly i hate this kind of spacer, your wheel is only standings on the bolts not even all the spacers. Its not good at all for your car. Best thing when u need small spacers is to get longer studs and a full-contact spacer.

Jim,

Kics is China - Taiwan. It's not terrible stuff, alot of the stuff coming out of those places is decent, but i'd put money down that it is not made in Japan.

You can't make then in a first world country for that money. Tha aluminum and the machine time alone will exceed the retail price.

I would also put money down that if you test the wheel studs they will be below grade 8.

I don't get into different sizes of spacers yet... if i went up to a 20mm i would make them have a hub centric lip on them.

As for studs, you should always be using ARP... nismo and Peak studs will still break.

This is a gif. taken from SPL parts main site... click exterior > wheel accessories

text:

350Z running on 285 wide Hoosier R6s sheared off all 5 wheel studs. Nissan studs torqued precisely to 80ft-lbs with electronic torque wrench.

ARP wheel studs are made from heat treated chromoly steel and have a 190,000 PSI tensile strength rating. These studs are much stronger than stock studs, and are available in 2 sizes to fit Nissan hubs:

--

basically you just use a different application's ARP studs in a 350z. i think for the Z33 you use Subaru WRX studs... depends on the knurl. For S14 front I use Lexus IS300 studs...

ARP is similar in price and way higher in terms of quality.

ARP actually manufactures **** and owns factories. They specialize in fastener manufacturing. Alot of the Nismo stuff and other brands just off-shore it.

There are a bunch of brands selling 5 lug conversion hubs with "japanese bearings"... i've had to warranty about half of the sets i sold...

I needed a spacer for my CCW Classics on my S13... no way would i use any of the spacers on the market... i had these machined.

Full 6061 Aluminum, machined in Canada, ARP wheel studs.... if i were to try and put them to market i would have to charge $300 - $350 a pair... These ones cost me much more than that given the development time.

Sigh. No bing they are not. They are made in Japan and use the same quality studs as the studs that come on the car. But you don't sell them so they couldn't be.

My car has been heavily road coursed since it was brand new and they are fine. yeesh. I'm not replying to this thread anymore, you are right, I am wrong thats it.

Jim, i realise that Kics Project is based out of Japan, but that doesnt mean the manufacturing gets done there. Sort of how like Greddy is a japanese company but all the stuff gets made in China / Taiwan.. Same with alot of Apexi's stuff.

The fact that they do not have a hub centric ring means the objective of the product is economy of production, not function.

Even Ichiba now has true hub centric spacers that are application specific.

Ichiba's would be better than KICS since they are hub centric to the hub and the wheel...

but again, i've had to warranty Ichiba stuff before. Not spacers though.

I use project kicks 15mm hubcentric spacers with built on studs on the front of my G coupe, with zero issues. I also have a set of H&R traks but haven't gotten around to installing them yet in the back.
