I have to agree with Maroli, never driven the SLK AMG, but SLK itself was total crap, all understeer and no fun factors.

u guys, the slk is totally different than an amg...i own a chrysler crossfire roadster which is a rebodied slk 320, the srt-6 crossfire is a rebodied slk32 amg, whcih go 12's out of the box and handle great, while the regular slk is a 14 second car and doesnt compare in the handling department, hence the AMG..apples and oranges

 

but either way the cars are not meant to be drifted, they have very limited trac. control that is not fully turned off and will correct ur driving if needed...they are meant to go around a track fast, but the AMG like i said is alot of fun, still though comparing the lotus to just a slk is not really right...should be comparing it to something priced the same like a sl55 AMG which is absolutely nasty...and the sl65 AMG is just ridiculous twin turbo v12 power there but alot of money...the sl55 AMG is prolly around the price of the lotus and i would much rather have

 

Sadly no... the next closest thing that got through was the Lotus Exige S.

an SLK 55 amg is 84 grand, a lotus elise SC is 70 grand, and a lotus exige S 240 is still 5 grand cheaper
