cops are dicks they will lie in court and make up false information on their little note pad. I had that experience 3 already at court and they are all the same. everything was over exaggerated or bs'd. I even had one cop say he pulled me over 2 street down when clearly he pulled me over my friends driveway on private property. but in the end it was his note pad vs my word.

I got pulled over once at hwy 7 and leslie after eating with my gf. The cop was with a normal car pulled over on the side then he quickly got into his car and chased me. I was going 40 didnt do anything wrong. I asked why I got pulled over and the cop said "you look like a street racer" then goes on blabbering about bs he can charge me with. He comes back to me and gives me an exhuast ticket without even looking at my exhuast.

This is wishful thinking. Cops don't need ANY proof. If you've been through the system you know how it is. Guilty until proven innocent. It's absolutely ridiculous how an officer doesn't have to shed a single ounce of proof yet you have to jump through hoops to prove him wrong. The cops word is his proof and it's good enough for the courts.

That really sucks! And I tought my local cops were off the abuse/stupidity charts!!!

Good for you in the sense that you did not step down just because of the 'uniforms' so to speak. I mean, there is nothing wrong in stepping up for what is right.

As others have pointed out, 'bad' cops are pretty much outside the law, ironically. They will lie in court without a second thought and they will cover for their pals as well.

I hope your process ends up with you being cleared and those suckers being somewhat punished. Only time will tell.

Good Luck!
C.

i don't even do that much, thats ONLY if I'm in a hurry, i'll take a chance and go 15 over.
My wife actually gets frustrated that I drive speedlimit... people who know me know that I don't speed. 50 km/h over? absurd!

I take the 407 every morning, the norm in 130 km/h. Some people are seen passing so they must be at 140 or so. I'm always one of the slow ones in the right that people go around. I actually enjoy driving slow... I leave the aggressive driving for the track.

Counting days till I get my car and license back. Its been hell.

I am not saying that they were right to take your car, in fact I am 100% against this stunt driving law and how it was put into place.... Remember, I am the one who sent you a lawyers contact info via pm's.. I am all for helping you out (if in fact you were not bagging it..)
But your angelic explanation of how you never go more then 15km over any speed limit, is little much. I mean, my father who is 73 drives at 120-125 on the highway.....

And Jasonintoronto, is right.. You should think about getting this thread deleted. It may be used against you.

a high price lawyer can do wonders....I know someone who blew over three times, once at the stop and twice at the police station and he got off the DUI. 15k was the cost, but unfortunately, justice favours the rich. There's a very good chance that you can get off this charge with a very high price lawyer

I wish my dad drove like that! lol

Thanks for the help guys!

In the end....it all comes down to dollars and cents.

I'm sure you'll get off on the charges, it's just the time/lawyer/hassle that will be your cost.

It's all a cash grab.

It is absolutely amazing how these f***** cops can lie right in court and don't even think twice about it. I am a pretty calm person but I'm not sure what I would do if someone was trying to get me for something I didn't do, well if I'm being charged for something I didn't do better get a valid reason for the damn thing. This BS law has to get changed because there is no burden of proof for them to **** up someones life, and if they are found wrong they still get away with it. How long will it be before someone takes out the rage on a popo that has lied in a case walking in civilian clothes on a Friday night.

I get the evil eye by some cops too but so far this year I have not been pulled over.
And I thought profiling in any way was not allowed in this country of ours, pffft.

GL man with this but it will be a up hill battle.

well after all, he was driving on the opposite lane but i don't think the pig got him on his radar, so it's not really going to hold up in court because he could just say he was revving the engine..
