Default Got Dyno Today

I went to spitfire in brampton today for my first dyno. I got only 264whp and 230 torque and was kind of disappointed because i thought i'd pull 280whp.

My current set up is 07 hr, borla dual, nismo dual cai and will scan dyno later on.

Dyno jets numbers are usually on the high side compared to other dynos out there.

264 sounds very reasonable for your car. Considering the 03-05 only dyno 220 or so.

OP,
Those are solid #'s. I wonder how much power you would make with the long tube CAI and a better exhaust..

Just an FYI, not all dyno packs are setup to read high.

Those numbers make sense as mine put down 237 with similar mods.

I think you misunderstood... i was speaking of dynapack, not dyno pack (i'll be honest... i haven't heard of that). And I was saying dynapacks read lower, not higher.

I was saying that in general, there tends to be, approximlately 10% variance between dynapack and dynojets. Ofcourse its not always the case.... sometimes there's minimal variance.
Here's a video made by Tony at DMT, in toronto... dynojet vs dynapack.

exactly.. so 237 x 1.10 is 261.... close to Kuoyang's 264.

Reality... wouldn't be surprised if there dynojets running #s close to Dynapacks. With time, rollers get old, could be a lubrication issue, or heavy rollers (different manufacturers). I've read certain acrticles that say they're identical as well, just as you say.

At the end, the perfect way to compare is by running another car on the exact same dyno.

I've run my car on a dyno everytime I've put on a mod on my cars. For my B7 Audi, I installed a front mount intercooler, car felt a little less responsive. Took it to the dyno and found that I lost a little bit of power.

Good power though... 264whp is impressive.

^LOL, sorry, meant to type dynapack.... Didn't think it would have confused you that much though.
To my knowledge/experience, dynapack's have typically read higher then ground based roller systems...Then again, most dyno's can be manipulated..

Anyhow, what I was trying to convey was that his #'s are accurate with the industry standard DJ #'s.

OP,
The most important thing now is that you use the same dyno when installing additional mods. It would be a solid way too showcase your gains when upgrading
