Anybody here ever got a jury summons?..This is the 3rd time I'm getting this in 4 years and I'm ****ing tired of it. I have a vacation that was already planned which I now have to cancel because of this.

I think i've served my "civic duty" the last 2 times that I showed up.

Just wondering if anybody got it and found an excuse to not show up.

 

i've always wondered what it's like to get a jury summons, but i'm sure you can think of creative ways to get out of it

Here are some off the top of my head:

1. i have H1N1
2. i hate visible minorities!
3. i enjoy the buttsekz with reality350
4. women should have stayed in the kitchen?
5. i drive a honda civic and it goes BWWWWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Hope you can find a good excuse bro... vacation > Jury duty ..hahaha

 

You have not served your civic duty by showing up, being part of a jury is doing your civic duty.

I ended up doing jury duty a few years back, actually I was juror #1. So I had a chance to listen to all the excuses. One thing I had noticed was that even if you cannot serve at that time they will put you on the list for next time.

Even if you not have a good excuse the crown and the defense have to accept you.

 

I've never been summoned. My friend did last year and he says good thing he had his gameboy DS

Did you already pay for the vacation? What if you tell them that you already paid for your vacation and it's not refundable. So unless the court wants to reimburse you, the you're going on the vacation.

 

i just wrote them a letter to postpone it to a later date. i just have to wait for the reply.
