Default New Fujitsubo vs Used Nismo Exhaust

Hey Guys,

I've been on the hunt for a used Nismo S tuned exhaust for the last few months. I had a deal in place but it fell through due to the condition of the exhaust's mid and Y pipe. A used Nismo exhaust is hard to come by up here and in most cases the US sellers don't want to ship to Canada. The cost of a used Nismo is usually around 600-700 CAN.

After talking to Ed@APH he mentioned that the cost of a New Fujitsubo Legalis R Exhaust is almost equal to a used Nismo. I had a vendor quote me 750 shipped. Has anyone had any experinece with a Fujitsubo Legalis R Exhaust and if so how would they rate it for sound, quality, and looks?

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Fujitsubo build the the Nismo Exhaust to my understanding. I would say there one in the same.
The Nismo has rolled tips and the Fujitsubo straight cut tips. Over all there both great Exhaust and you can not go wrong with either.

how about a used Fujitsubo? We have one available

they are not even close to being one in the same - completely different actually in looks and sound

you may want to double check that price though

I'm interested in your used Fujitsubo. Please note the price quoted was for only the mid pipe and catback exhaust. PM me your price shipped to Toronto, Canada.

How does the Fujitsubo stack up against the Nismo for quality? Can you elaborate on the sound?

Like I said, I'd reconfirm that price with whomever quoted it to you - used ones go for that

Sound wise, a Fujitsubo is milder and deeper than the NISMO is. Quality wise they are both very nicely made

I understand that - the Y pipe is always sold separately with Fujitsubo

http://www.tein.com/products/fujitsubo_legalis_r.html

they are one of the 2 importers for the US - MSRP between the 2 importers is minimally different, if at all.

alot of sites out there have incorrect pricing posted, likely because they don't sell many, and don't realize that pricing has changed substantially in the last 18 months

anyway, good luck

^^ No, same piping diameter as the Nismo.

I had the first gen Super Ti and I loved it. If you get the Fujitsubo, you won't be disappointed.

Thanks for all the great feedback guys. I ended up ordering the Fujitsubo Legalis R Exhaust. Total cost was 845.00 shipped to CBI in Buffalo. I'll be heading there next weekend to pick it up.

Props to BWK for letting hear the sweet exhaust note of the Fujitsubo.
