Latest Street Scam
Had this happen twice to me. I'm not sure who would fall for it? It's obviously a scam, but I guess there are a lot of naive people in this world.
The first time I told the guy I had no money on me, he insited I goto an ATM with him and get some (yeah, right), finally I just told him they wouldn't fit in my Z anyways
. Second time I couldn't believe this was actually a scam a lot of people do, I thought the first was just some jackass trying to make a buck off some stolen equipment. Let's just say I didn't end up being as polite the second time, ended up arguing back and fourth with the guy before he sped off. Telling him I knew it was a scam and I had taken down his plate # for the cops seemed to get him moving and stop harassing me while I pumped my gas.
My question is, why is it always stereo equipment? Just seems kind of interesting that this has spread into a North American scam and hasn't really deviated from stereo equipment to anything else.

^ for 100 you can get a decent system, for 100$ you can get logitech z5500, amazing system pumping out 1000watts, i have 2 of them and i love them.
regarding davinci i have actually heard about that system in past. On one of the forums that i used to hang around a while back, someone got scammed in to it and tryed to resell it, everyone laughed at him and tolled him to gtfo.
And so what? im trying to be a nice guy and inform people so they dont fall for stupid scams and pay alot of money for something that was put together in a shed out of cardboard and sprayed on with a pretty glossy spray can.

this is not a latest scam 
its been around for looong time ive been approached like 4times over 15years hehe, a friend of mine actually bought some big speakers off a truck once he liked them they sounded okay poor guy was blind he was convinced he got a good deal and that its not an actual scam

my bad, i meant for 100 more*, got both my systems for 199 and 220 or so Tigerdirect, once in a while they have good sales, but usualy if they do, most online stores do.
Haha. I was at Home Depot yesterday afternoon picking up a shower door, and before I took off two guys in a dark minivan pulled up and offered me a surround system worth $2500. Said they'd give me a great price, blah blah blah. They said they were Boss certified installers and would do the install. They left in a hurry after I told them no thanks.
Last time this scam was offered to me was a few years ago.
