Default Latest Street Scam

... So no one falls for this scam, it goes as follows, a van/truck/suv pulls up to you and asks if you need a home theater system, you say yes or w.e else you ask them they pull over, open up the car and u see all these shiny brand new boxes.

This happend to me exept a black van pulled up and white dude started giving me a sales pitch that hes some thing there was a wrong order and he needs to sell these things quick, price tag on the box says 4k, he goes if you make me a reasonable offer ill sell it to ya, etc, it goes on and on, when you get home you open it and in fact its a 10$ plastic system that has watts equal to shitty phone. People got scammed for 150-600$, just beware and dont fall for this. This has actually reached canada from us, us had this for a short while. I was in richmond hill where i got this wonderful offer which i laughed at.

Being knowledgeable about sound systems it already sounded strange because nowhere on the box it said rms or peak nor the guy had any idea what i was talking about.

Take care and good luck!

PS the brand name on the box is paramax, they also have a fake website online

Oh man, what a f**kup. How did he not search every subforum possible to make sure he wasn't repeating previously discussed topics?

^ for 100 you can get a decent system, for 100$ you can get logitech z5500, amazing system pumping out 1000watts, i have 2 of them and i love them.

regarding davinci i have actually heard about that system in past. On one of the forums that i used to hang around a while back, someone got scammed in to it and tryed to resell it, everyone laughed at him and tolled him to gtfo.

hah, funny story. After I read this thread, I googled Divinci because I know like 5 years ago, my friend bought this out of a truck, been using it ever since. I found out it was a scam after googling it and sent the link to him. Haha. This was in Peterborough of all places.
