I have replica stuff on my car. I can't afford, by my standards, the real equivalents. I'd like to, but I can't. I live alone and I'm 25. I'm pretty envious of people who live at home and are able to spend more on their cars! I guess living alone has its upsides but I'd probably be able to get a nicer car in general if I could save that 1 thousand dollars a month. Anyway, I'm not overly disappointed that I can't afford authentic stuff (although my car has equal amounts of brand name stuff too) for my car...because I'm pretty sure that in the future I'll be owning a lot nicer cars That's IF everything pans out, but its looking pretty good so far!

Not really sure why someone would turn their nose up on you just because you're not sporting "brand" name stuff. Just so long as you're not passing it off as authentic.
If we all could afford the "real deal" the what would be the sense of having it? Imitation is the best form of flattery.
Personally, I could care less .

saw a nice carbon silver Z parked across the street from my work at McCowan and Milner...
to each his own in regards to the Replica vs Authentic parts... all my parts are Authentic with the small exception of my rear spoiler which is made by EVO-R and is a Blitz replica. It was my first mod and luckily it's a pretty damn good knock off. I've learned alot about my car over the past few years from being on this forum. Many of the guys in the EC region I've met in person are great stand up guys that are true Z /sports car enthusiasts. Part of me believes that when you have owned your car from day one you have a special connection with it and I find it very hard to replace parts with sub-par replica's. I don't want to offend any of the young hard working members but when you see threads about 20 year old's wanting to buy 7 year old Z's that have beat'n into the ground it leaves me shaking my head. They can barely afford the insurance let alone the money to maintain it. And I think that's where part of the problem lies.

if anyone asks me what exhaust i always say hks replica, dont think many really dont give a crap themselves. and once again please tell me where i said i had volks, i know i said black rims with time attacks - get this through your head, it dosnt mean your precious volks, it simply means black rims with red lines on the outer edge, for f sakes how much more do i have to say that? Regarding when i said hks boo hoo cry me a river, im sure everyone whos i ever met or whos seen my posts already knows its a replica and who gives?
and mitasmo (sp) well said...
just dont understand what the hell is the big deal, if someone has v2 replica, they refer to it as v2 not v2 replica its shorter and sweeter and looks about the same to the naked untrained eye, just another one of those examples.
anywho, all this is not getting anywhere...
on and ps, that thread that where i posted the picture - it was actually done as a joke, but obviously not many got it because my car is durrr stock pretty much. but oh well everyone has different levels of humor.

I saw a lot of Z's today
1. Winston Churchill and Argentia, Older guy, wearing a headset driving a Silver Convertible, had "Z" stencil where the signal/reverse lights in the rear, clear front bumper side markers
2. Tenth Line and Scotchpine in Mississauga, Another Silver Convertible looked stock, I was at a client house, I sell Interlocking and he drove by the house.
3. Mississauga road and Erin Mills, parked in the plaza behind Gabriels Restaurant, 03 Silver Coupe, with rims that's pretty much all I saw, I was in the plaza next door eating Burger King

I saw this Z today at Best Buy Heartland So I snapped a couple quick pics
Then I was out for dinner downtown parked near Church and King, I came back, and there was a stock Black 03 Z parked right in front of mine

On another note, I think that's the side where all the employees park. I doubt a BB employee owns that Z though. He might have had some car audio or something installed.

ah I hate that veilside bumper so much. Nice Z though aside from that, I wonder what turbo kit he's running. Never seen him around the area.
and x2 on the parking near our cars, this *ALWAYS* happens to me. I stopped parking away from others and simply try for areas partially inclosed by concrete/barriers and near entrances so if someome does screw up it gets noticed.
Basha... ironically I had a BMW M3 almost t-bone my car at square one on friday... I almost threw up in my mouth a little bit, if I hadn't slammed on my brakes it would have been a 50/50 at fault cause of private property... I hate giant public parking lots.
