Default Megan c/o installed at APH

Another very positive experience at APH (thanks Ed)! They installed my Megan coilovers and 10mm spacers on the rear.

Here is a quick review:

Date: Apr 6th
Distance: 60km
Comments: Firmer ride then the Eibach spring pro-kit (driving on these for more then a year with a few track events included). Steering feels like someone has tightened it up. I don't know how to explain it other then that. No bounce! Bumps are firmer and there is more feedback through the car with respect to pavement details (patch work, undulations, and creases). I am pleasantly surprised at the ride quality. I was expecting a bouncy ride but so far it's not bouncy. My drivers side tire rubs over big bumps and sharp right hand corners after 10mm spacers were installed on +22 offset with 275/35/19 tires but nothing a little fender roll won't help with. I have the coils set to 8 clicks f/r from firmest (24 out of 32) which for me is fine for the street.

Date: Apr 7th
Distance: 40km
Comments: Still no bouncing. I haven't had the fenders rolled yet. Rubbed the tire 5 times on the way into work (construction area and big bumps). It does not rub on the bottom of the car (not slammed) nor do the tires rub over speed bumps (40km/h zone). I am really starting to like how the steering feel has changed. On rails I guess is a good description. Still running the stock sway bars and have good independent suspension response. That will change with time when I go with adjustable sways.

More to come. The track will tell the real story. The cars alignment seems to be spot on as does the camber but just to be sure I'll get it checked in a week or two.

I am sitting at about the same height I was with the eibach pro kit springs. Maybe 1/8" lower but it also sits level now.

yeah man, eyeballing the camber and toe is NOT the way to go. you alignment will be off, take it from someone who's rear tires wore out in 6 months due to me thinking the alignment *seemed* right

Well, going on three months now and no complaints. Even the wife thinks it's civil to ride in (and if you knew her you'd understand that is a big deal).

The ride is a little stiffer then the eibach springs I was running and obviously the car is lower. It handles great and I have had no issues what so ever.

Great coilovers for the price.
