I just had a thought maybe, it probably sounds kind of gay, but maybe putting together a Z club? yes I know that usually involves putting some kind of ugly decal on your ride, but maybe we can have some other way to show we are a part of a Z community??

I dunno just a thought....what you guys think?

we're looking at growing a Canadian Z forum inside out existing network in the not to distant future... if a few of you want to take it upon yourselves to grow it a bit let me know.

seems like alot of guys grow out of 240's and into Z's with no real home. this corner of my350z is okay but not enough really

Why don't you guys want to build on the Ontariozcar?

Sure there are a lot of 240/260/280/300 members but where do you think you will be in a few years the 370z is already out?

The number of 350 owners coming out can make a big influence in this club that is already established if you make an effort. There are meet's, events, cruzes monthy meetings with an agenda for future activities etc so ....

I am not against a z-canadian club for example or adding the G guys since they have the same drivetrain at all. The more events and things the better chance I have of attending but do you really understand the heritage here and how your Z came to exist?

If you look at a a Mustang or Camaro etc these guys understand heritage and covey older cars vs. the newer ones..

If you think its an old guys club think again. It is and should be a Z-Car club no matter what the vintage. (+G's if you wish as well IMO) You the people make the club so what ever......I enjoy cars and taking to other guys about cars be it old or new. My Z is allready old in todays standards just like me.

Anyway that is my rant if you see an older Z with a younger guy driving I am sure you be all cool with that. These Older Z's are getting harder to find and will be very special. Appreciate it you will be here!

i dont disagree with you any. the Z guys are having their meet next weekend and i am going to try and get out to it.

That said, with respect to forums it doesnt make sense to have 25 small forums for every little niche out there.. expecially when people are only into a specific car usually for a couple years then they move on.

yeah you can back fill it wiith new people but why not have all the forums off the same database with a thin veil of separation, expecially when there is bound to be alot fo commonalities in classifieds, event participation, drift etc.

i'm not saying we're doing this any time soon but we're set up for it... if you havent navigated through any of the forums yet just check the sig

I agree with you on this. I have seen some forums try to pull multiple clubs together and it seams because of personalities etc..it has not worked out so well. After a while they split up again, but if you have some thoughts on how to improve this it would be good. The moding scene has declined but might grow again with the new American muscle cars coming out IMO.

All in all though with the wealth of info on this forum specifically to the 350, and G's and soon to be 370z it is hard to have yet another forum. The G guys have a sticky section to post meets and events and their own Canadian Classifides section maybe thats all we need here with links to local teams, and forums?

Not sure what the right answer is really. I am on the www.Guelphracing.com forum because its in my back yard so to speak and Ben the owner has tried to go down the path of grouping clubs into one forum with sub links. Now he is trying to build a race team. Not sure how that will work out but hey no harm in trying.

damn, the Z car meet is right now... i totally forgot... shiiiit

ah well, weather is shitty anyways

guelphracing has been around forever, i used to go to university in Guelph, but it has no traffic.

I'm also sick of all these little forums running of 2 generation old versions of VB with expired licenses...

This section was on fire from '06-'08.... you were once a vendor on here, remember?
-Member participation is what will make for a better community... and this site has more than enough local traffic. Its just that the noobs can't search properly to find the EC section.

Also, do you really think you could come up with a local site that could provide this much content, relevant information and vendor support?... I highly doubt it..

What needs to happen is.... someone needs to take the reigns and start building this section back up to its glory.. but who is willing to give up their free time and go out of their way to speak with shops, schedule meets/shows, etc...
