So there has been some rumors going around for a couple of years, especially since Dunnville shutdown, and since some of these seem to be coming true perhaps, I figured I would start a thread on it.


First off, apparently we are looking at a new road course in the Niagara region, possibly even near Cayuga/dunnville. Not sure if its the old owner of the autodrome or what, but seems pretty solid that it may be open next spring...


Second, is one opening near Barrie, called the 'edenville autodrome'. Seems this is an old track from the 50s, that is being restored. Looks to have some pretty cool straights too.

Then there is the state of Sparta drag way. From what I hear, its still not open, but is planning to. Sounds like its under new owners, and the do plan to run a schedule this year.

Edenvale got cut recently... it's a no go.

I spoke at the city council meeting. There are groups opposed who brought their lawyers but apparently the city is still motivated and there is additional testing going on.

There are other developments but nothing past the point of speculation.

I had a 4:00pm coffee meeting today with the gentlemen coordinating each of these but has to cancel. I'll update in our forum network when we have the meeting
