Hey Guys,
If you didn't make it to the Toronto Indy you FOR SURE need to come to the ALMS weekend at Mosport. First of all, you should see Mosport because it's the most amazing track in North America. And you can drive it with your own car pretty much whenever you want for a few hundred bucks.
Secondly, watching the ALMS prototypes go around Mosport pulling 3+G's is the most awe inspiring thing ever.
Thirdly, we're racing in the Canadian Touring Car on Saturday and Sunday so you should come cheer us on and watch touring cars rip it up, bang into each other and just basically drive like maniacs!
To make your life easy:
ALMS Tickets:

Saturday only is $40.00, we qualify and race on Saturday and the ALMS cars will be out practicing a few times that day. It's prob the best value day to come watch!
You can also camp out at Mosport which is the most fun thing to do ever, because it's like camping with bon fires plus racing. Wandering through the paddock at night watching the pro teams wrench on $500,000 cars inside their own essentially portable shops is almost more incredible than watching the cars on the track.
Here are more details about the event, maps, schedule:

If you do come, be sure to come by our pit and say hi! We're G1 Racing under the big blue awning in the Canadian Touring Car section. You can't miss us!

Hah funny... I'm buying my weekend super ticket in my other window as we speak!
See you there! I'll stop by your pit forsure, can we step past the velvet rope? =D I'll be showing up Saturday mid-afternoon and camping, then watching all the racing on Sunday aswell. I'll have my Z there and probably be camping at Turn 3, then watching the action Sunday from 5a, 5b. For anyone going, 5a and 5b is worth the hike... it's amazing how close you can get to the track and there is a lot of shunting and rubbing coming into 5a especially when the LMP cars want by the slower classes!

I was watching the GT and LMP cars today and they always take my breath away. God they sound so, so good. And they look so sorted and at home going around the track.
I can't wait until my Z is one day as fast as those GT cars. (I promise you guys it will be)
We ran 2nd fastest in TouringCar practice with a 1:31.59. Should be able to get close to a 1:30 with new tires and some luck tomorrow if the setup is bang on!

Here's a couple vids I took while there yesterday.. It was just on a digi camera that I need a SD card for so they are short. Love the sounds.. Ferrari, Ford GT, and those BMW's OMG!!! Those stuck out to me.

Did they end up restarting the race or was the red flag the end of it? Between the heat and being hung-over I waited around till 6 and then headed out to recover for Monday (it's still a rough day). I'll post some pictures once I get around to uploading them.
So who had the blue track model Z there at turn 3 all weekend?
Wasnt me, I was parked near 2.
They didnt do a restart... i was there till like 8 chatting with some people and regretted it cuz the 401 was a pain in the rear coming back home around that time...

I saw that Z there. When I left 3 to go down to 5's a silver one was parked next to my 240. My Z is too precious to take down there lol. I did see a nice RX-8 (blue) on Volk SF Challenge. And I saw a blue STi go down that huge hill there!!! I couldnt believe it!
I'm pretty sure after that gnarly Porsche wreck the race was over.

I saw that RX8, he didn't cheap out on parts. Yes the STi was nuts, he also went up that hill! It was a beautiful thing, security didn't agree though hah. A civic also happened to make it up the hill a bit earlier on, it took a couple tries and a fast run in but it made it; lol poor cars.
It was too bad that wreck happened, I'm glad to know I it didn't restart so I have no regrets for leaving during the red flag.

Thanks guys! It was great to see you all out there and there were more people I knew at Mosport for this race than any other, so that was really great to see!
It was an awesome race weekend and I'll have some really, really exciting video to post up soon.
Now it's back to the grind at SG, tuning!
