Default Reputable mechanic for BMW E46 M3?

Hey all,

I know this is a Z forum, but wondering if anybody uses/knows of a good mechanic for BMW's? Don't want to take it to the stealer...

Preferably in the Markham area.

Thanks for your help!

Thanks guys.

Maroli - sorry to hear about your ride...

I've also been recommended to RMP motors - heard of them?

I've heard mixed reviews regarding Europa, also - I remember calling them in the past regarding replacing a CPV valve (notorious issue for 3 series) - and to my surprise, he didn't sound like he knew what I was talking about.

Try: www.eurotechimportauto.com

They are really good, great service, god prices.. specialize in BMW and Audi... i take my non-Z cars there for everything.

RMP is also very very good. If RMP is closer to you, then go there. I'm partial to Bimmersport because they handled all my mods and they're really cool guys. But RMP has a great reputation too. Thanks for the sympathy bro, it's going to be a painful few months while I get her fixed. It's also going to be painful to pay for half the damage...

Bimmex is good. Its in the area you're looking for too (markham).

But still take the 135/X5 to speedstar though. They've done a lot of work on the bmw's and i've seen other bmw's get serviced there. Albert's as **** about the way he handles customer's cars, which I appreciate. I even left the car overnight once for it to be worked on the next day and when albert found out that the car was parked outside, we went and parked it inside the shop at 11 o'clock at night. Great customer service!
They installed the KW V3's, rolled/pulled the fenders, installed a fuel pump, testpipe, midpipe and even did the alignment. They can't do the computer diagnostics bmw and bmw specialsts may have but other than that, there's nothing they can't do.

Thanks guys!

kasimmmm - nice 135!

Yeah, I'm not looking for any bolt-ons - looking for somebody who can handle diagnostics and tuning.

Looks like RMP or Bimmex.

thanks, the 135 is pushing close to 400whp and all it has is a tune, and bolt-ons. Its a blast to drive. The best part is that it still has luxury so there's no compromise. It is the best rear wheel drive car i've driven in winter so far. But hopefully won't have to drive the 135 because of the X5. I hope the X5 doesn't struggle because its pretty low.

yeah bimmex is awesome!
BTW, did you recently pick up an E46 M3?
I was looking into picking one up and throwing in an HPF turbo kit, but then decided to go with the porsche since it will be close to the same price with the M3 turbo kit.
The E46 and the E90/92 M3's are awesome machines. How do you like it over the Z?

Oh nice..you got the Dinan Stage 2 flash I presume?

We've had the M since 2002. How do I compare it to the Z? Far more refined and luxurious than the Z. The M pulls a lot harder up top, but Z wins on the bottom end. Honestly, when they say Bimmer's are the 'Utlimate Driving Machine' - it really is - handling is superb. And I love how the traction control is so un-intrusive (unlike the Z).

The only downside to the M - reliability.

But - overall fun factor, I prefer the Z - I find it more of a sports car

Which Porsche are you picking up instead of the M?
