Default Carbotech Brake Pad Group Buy

This group buy is now closed. Thank you.

This is the fifth year that Carbotech has joined with me in offering a group buy. You will get 25% off the Internet price if we get twenty axle sets in this buy. www.ctbrakes.com is the website for more information about these products. Whether you're looking for a performance street pad (Carbotech Bobcat), an autocross pad (Carbotech AX6) or a dedicated track pad (Carbotech XP 8, 10, 12, or 16 series) Carbotech has the brake pads you need. Final price will include conversion to the Canadian dollar, all applicable taxes and shipping fees. Don't hesitate to ask me any questions.
This group buy will close on March 1, 2012.
Frank

Looks like we're well on the way. If you want to see the full list, check my website at www.frankewald.com/carbotech where you'll find the ongoing list plus some info. PM me if you've got questions.

How is the XP8 on the street noise wise? Wouldn't mind getting in on this if I can find a good compromise for street/track.

These XP8's were pretty good at the track considering my ZR weighs in at ~3800 with me in it. They didnt stick to the rotors at all and no fade even though they got pretty hot. ( My break fluid gave out before the pads did).

As for Street they are a bit noisy but dust is really good considering, and easy to clean. My better half did not like the noise so much so I bought some 1521's. Very quite, no dust, but they really dont perform well on hard panic breaking for the weight of my Z so im back to the XP8's on the street and happy. If i need or want to stop fast no issues with the XP8s

I did not try out the XP10's yet ( I probably should have gone to the XP12's) for track but Im not so much interested in breaking records as just having a blast once in a while.

I run my XP10s all the time. 70% of the time you don't hear them, but occasionally I will pull up in traffic and get a 4 wheel squeal that is pretty awful.

And they bite just find when they are cold. Can't comment on dust, my wheels are matte black :P
