CSCS 2013 Schedule

My plan is to run in street class. I just want to know what the rules permit, purchase appropriate tires and have at it. But its frustrating that its Mar 21 already, no rule book, and no idea when it will be released? Maybe I'm over reacting because I'm new to all this, but how are we supposed to get anything sorted without any info? Hurry up and wait I guess.

Yeah I had a set of fresh RS3 as you may recall. I was forced to drop ship in some star specs last minute.
But in retrospect, if I had kept the RS3 I still would have done pretty well even in the next class.
I would not have won any rounds but I would have scored enough points to be competitive.

Oh well will be fun to have more Z's there. Tim what I'd you got some star spec 2's and left the labels on and returned them if they changed the rules? When I got my rs3's the company offered to take them back on exchange if I paid shipping. I didn't want to ship and I thought I'd use them so I didn't do it. But it's an option!

I thought of it, and while pondering it the last of tire racks 285/30/18 z2's were sold. So I could
1) Buy 275/35/18's square since those are in stock. Not the size I'm after tho.
2) Buy(2) 275/35/18 and (2) 275/35/19 and mount those on my stock rays gt wheels and track with that setup. Would have to daily with that setup. This would free up to mount slicks on the rpf1's as at some point I would like to try a few practice runs with them just for my own stupidity.
3) Try and squish Rivals 295/35/18 square. I have front camber arms, but the sidewalk height worries me in the front. Also the minimum rim width is 10" where my front wheels are 9.5".
4) Wait it out and buy the 285/30/18 Z2's when they are back in stock. Probably means I miss the first event. Or maybe run on some crappy all seasons to try and score some points. That's probably a long shot.
I'm leaning towards option 4. Maybe option 2. I'm having a hard time justifying settling for something less to make the first event and can't afford to buy 2 sets of tires. Dammit Mike! Why did you have to stiff me on your old z1's!

I don't know. I think to do well in street you are over thinking it. There were only 4 guys in the street rwd class that could go under 1:24 at TMP.
To win the championship. First you have to post a time in all 5 rounds.
The guy who got second in the championship to me last year almost beat me at the end because I ran into trouble in the last 2 rounds. He showed up to the first event in a borrowed 240 to score some points. He ran like a 1:27 or 1:28 and got 3rd.
Pick some tires. Run hard. And you will be in position to win it all. What about Federal 595evo. 240 tread wear??

Whah? How come??
On the tire front. You are %100 correct. I am definately overthinking it. I am going to wait it out and see how the rules play out. Worst case scenario, if it stays at 200 tw and no stock of Rivals or Z2's, I can order Nitto NT05's.
