ECU Reflash
Is there a shop in the London On region that will reflash an ECU?
When I get my car out in the spring, I need to have an intermittent issue fixed. Local Nissan dealer is no help.
Thanks

Most of the time the car runs fantastic, but every once in a while when I accelerate the car will bog down. I can hold the pedal to the floor but the revs will only go to 2500-3000, shift gears and get the same thing. the revs will then pulse between 25 and 3 thousand rpm. It almost feels like it is hitting the rev limiter. I have video on my iphone if I ever figure out how to upload I will throw it on. I've been to Dale Downie Nissan 3 times and they are mystified.
Thanks for the reply

No, there are no codes that come up. I might as well be riding a bicycle to the dealership for all the help they've been. I'm just going to take some advice from you guys and visit a shop around London that is better at diagnostics and tuning. Once the weather is warm I'll get my car out of storage and take it where you recommend. Thanks
I have experienced the same issue .
The complicated ECU combined with changing conditions and mechanical data logging this is not uncommon . Call it bit-rot or just shitty data going outside the operational envelope . Your car goes into safe mode ( Limp Home ).
First check for codes and reset ECU with a scanner . If you do not have one just unhook the battery for an hour ( I like to leave it over night to let the caps drain . In the morning or what ever hook it back up and you should be Golden . The ECU will relearn and may at a bit strange . Not like before the reset .
GOOD LUCK

If it does not work . See if yo can find a used ECU at a wreckers . Reflashing your old one will be risky considering it already corrupted the original code . It could do again most likely will.
You have some critical thinking to do .

Been told http://www.whiteheadperformance.com/ is pretty good, they focus on Z's/Nissans. might be a bit of a drive.
aftermarket ecu is big bucks, wont be worth it unless you plan to do turbo for example down the road.
All you should try at first is have someone reflash your ecu with a new clean 350z code.. Call APH they are in toronto though. He can do it for you, he has every generation of 350z factory ecu programs. Or just see whats going on in that ecu of yours. Not to mention one of the best Tuners in Ontario too so.

has your local nissan replaced the IVT solenoids, yet? i have seen this happen a few times, and dosent always thow a code. dont spend the money on an ecu if this hasnt been done yet
My local Nissan dealer would have a hard time finding their *** with two hands and a flashlight. I'll follow 2th pwr's advice and got to tuner shop in komoka in the spring, Thanks for the info
