personally i could care less if my car went 160. so like my other cars rear end gears need to get changed

now 3.55 i think is stock on our cars ( i have a g35) but have any of you z guys done this swap.

on my other gm cars 3.42 to 3.73 (.31 higher) all yielded about a 300rpm increase at 70 mph, but 1/4 mile times went down 4-5 tenth at the track in all cases.

now 3.5 to 3.9 is a .40 change so im guessing about 400 more at 70 mph but i mean the gear changing and power should be well worth it. As for traction i have 26x10.5x16 et streets on the car now and 4500 launch yields no tire spin

seriously...there are TONS of threads about those who have done the swap. I know personally, my car was still easily able to hit 160 (indicated) after the swap

 

where the heck are you going to do 160?
