Default High Performance Clutch

Currently looking for a high performance clutch capable of 600ft-lbs of torque at the wheels. Opinions, comments and suggestions??

After some research, I am leaning towards a clutch master stage 6.

What is it rated up to?? I need around 550 to 600ft-lbs of capacity.

BTW, I just found an informative thread in the FI area on clutches.

Here's a quote from the member Egbert..

"I burned up the Tilton clutch and flywheel in a relatively short time, primarily because I was trying to drive it smoothly on the street, which requires a 3-footed dance on the pedals, and a lot of clutch feathering. Well it turns out that that is just clutch abuse.

The dealer was nice enough to give me a new clutch disk and pressure plate free or under warranty. All I had to pay for was a new flywheel. So the Tilton set-up is nearly new (less than 1000 pampered miles). It is a hairy chested mod for the serious few. Don't ask for my Tilton set-up unless you are sure you want high performance at the cost of reduced street driveability."

I don't know if that clutch is streetable.

ATS twin or triple disk. SkiDazzle, myself , and a few others are quite happy w/ the clutch.

I was told that the ATS clutch is almost as hard to drive as the tilton. Besides, don't you have to adjust the twin and triple plate CARBON clutches every 3000 miles or so.

I've burnt my clutch out. I've never burnt a clutch out before in my life. Is there something I need to know about the stock clutch. Have many of you guys had this happen?

I also just found out that I need to replace my clutch, 03 with 32000 miles. Dealer told me that they are seeing clutch replacement between 30000 and 35000 miles. I am thinking about going with the Nismo clutch and flywheel, parts and installation $2000.00.

$2000? I think Performance Nissan charges a hair over $1200 for the Nismo clutch/flywheel and install.
