Mossy Short Shifter Information
There is a group buy on this shifter here https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....67#post1174867 . Here is a little info on the shifter that might get interest in entering the group buy.

Here is the info on the shifter.
Position 1 is the highest and equal to 20% longer than stock.(This position is super smooth and very good for everyday driving)
Position 2 is stock.
(This position is if you like stock feel)
Position 3 is below stock and 20% shorter.
(This postion is if you like it a little shorter if you like it a little shorter)
Position 4 is the lowest and is 40% shorter.
(This position is good for racing or if you like it extremely short and is the shortest availiable setting that of any shifter out for the Z)

Thanx man I appreciate it. Actually since you have it, can you tell us a little about it. Do you like it? Which settings do you use and why? Tell us about each setting? Does it rattle? Sorry to bother with all these questions, but it would be great if you could help us out with those questions.

I love it...One of the best short shifters I've ever driven. I keep mine on max short...Thats just where like it. The throws are significantly shorter there. Its been there so long driving a regular shifted Z or this shifter in stock mode feels REALLY weird. It does not rattle at all. There was actually an improvement made on the facotry design by the guy who designed this. It solved ALL the rattle there would have been. Plus my wife HATES driving my car at max short (cuz shes used to what her Civic felt like) so she runs it at max long throws and LOVES it. I ust laugh when I see her moving what seems like feet to shift (its not) on max length. All in all its a quality product by someone who knows what hes doing. Also the fact that it is a Solid piece of Stainless ensures you'll break the shift housing and linkage before you break this shifter. I've really wrenched on this thing and havent had a problem with it yet.

1. Yes, there is still reverse lock just like stock.
2. No rattling!!! There is a change made to an OEM part that is included that keeps it from rattleing.

this is what Company Man from my350z.com had to say:
"This is the only shifter that adjusts both above and below the fulcrum. When you pull up on the release sleeve collar from the highest position, it unlocks the shifter handle and it drops down, lowering the shift **** at the same time lengthening the shifter below the fulcrum, therefore shortening the throw both above and below. The shifter arm is a solid piece of 17-4 stainless steel that is hardened to 40 Rockwell along with some of the important internals. Basically stronger than the same material in a forged steel crankshaft. Your gonna break your arm before you can even bend this baby.
The ability to adjust this shifter to what feels good for you is no different than changing the tilt of your steering wheel. Everyone will have their own preference and not everyone is going to like where you might have it set. What makes this cool is that now, for the first time, you can adjust the height and throw of your stick shift to how you want it.
oh yea, you even get a factory socket.

The new adjustable shifter was designed utilizing the stock shift ****. The design was such that when the shifter is adjusted to the stock position, using the stock ****, it has the stock throw. Using other shift ***** will change the design intent.
At stock height, the effort remains the same as stock.
A 20% shorter throw will have a 20% increase in effort.
A 40% shorter throw will have a 40% increase in effort.
If it takes 3 lbs of pressure to move a stock shifter, a 40% increase is 5 lbs. A 20% increase is 3.75 lbs.
If your not strong enough to handle 40%, drop it to 20%. If you can't handle 20%, don't get a short shifter.
This is a straight stainless steel shaft 17-4 and it uses the stock socket. The force from you arm generates direct force to the transmission. If your too whimpy, get an automatic.
At stock height, the effort remains the same as stock.

GOOD NEWS GUYS!!!!! I just purchased the shifter. It will ship out soon. I will give a detailed review of what I think of it. Just so you guys know. It still has the reverse lock like the stock shifter so don't worry about accidently throw it into reverse when shifting into 6th. As for rattling, I e-mail Greg at Mossy and asked him what was modified to stop rattling along with other questions. This is what he said:
"Yes I will ship overseas.
The stock ball socket was modified with o-rings.
Miaplaya has it currently installed and loves it. His wife can adjust it up when she gets in, and he can adjust it down when he gets in. It's a beautiful thing, a marraige saver if you will. ;-)

Frankly, I would like an opinion from anyone but MIAPLAYA and chachi.
No offense, but your posts look more like a marketing plug for the product, and I would like for some of the people in the group buy to verify the claims. The videos tell me nothing, cause the car is at a stand still. After 3 or 4 swipes through all the gears while at idle and no clutch engagement the stock shifter can slide like butter as well. I want impressions of the drive, which is the whole point of buying this thing.
