Default strange noise....

okay, i press the clutch in shift to 1st gear when i let go of clutch and press on the accelerator i hear a clunky noise. its soft but its there.

same happends in 2nd then lets say i go to 3k rpm and i try to shift to 3rd i will almost always grind to get to 3rd unless i do it slow and ease into the gear.

when i do down shift and i am engine stopping in 2nd gear once the rpm drops from 4 -> 3 rpm i hear same clunky noise. (when i am just driving in 2nd gear traffic and i pass the rpm 2.5-3 rpm i will hear that same clunky noise on the way up and way down)

tranny is gone? i have 20 k miles. i do have exhaust and intake. suggestions on what should be done?

i would look for loose linkage first. probably not the problem but it won't hurt to look. it is weird that it happens at a curtain rpm not dependent on gear. could be tranny i guess. how does the clutch feel?

but would loose linkage cause the same exact noise every single time?

i had a throttle actuator changed a few months ago. i wonder if something as loosened up.

would i have trouble if i went to the dealer if my exhaus is modded?

I'm having a similar problem.... when you rev the engine either out of gear or when the clutch is in, you dont hear the noise, it only comes up when the engine is under load, and oddly enough not all the time. It seems that it is only comming from the drivers side underbody. I aslo have an exhaust, intake and additionally kinetix racing cats. I first noticed the problem when i put the cats on, the noise was not there when i had stock cats or test pipes on. I first suspected that the noise was from a lose connection, but i've checked and retightened the bolts several times with an impact gun. It seems odd this happens only on one side, and only with these cats. Is it possibly a gasket issue? Anyone got any ideas?
