ATS Carbon LSD .vs ATS Metal LSD
These are quotes from the ATS website.
"We appreciate your wait. Finally ATS LSD (both Carbon & Deftforce) for Nissan Z33 will be released on November 1, 2004. We are taking orders right now. (we can ship it out from ATS Japan on Nov. 1). Carbon $1,360.00, Deftforce & standard metal 16 plates $1,080.00."
"Our tests in Japan by several professional drivers shows the metal LSD scores a slightly better laptime than the carbon LSD for FF cars. However, for a driver who would like to have a mild LSD with little noise (with ATS LSD oil, there is little chattering or cranking noise), ATS will make a carbon LSD for your FF car. The application is limited to the models of metal LSD."
Does anybody know the pro's and con's for both models?
My guess is metal version makes for quicker lap times but the carbon version would last much longer.
