Default Want to remove U.S. engine top speed restriction

My 2003 has an engine computer chip that restricts the engine to about 110mph. How does one get the computer chip installed that allows the car to go 160mph?

i think the TS reflash removes the limiter. Dont know why you're restricted to 110 though. I thought it was suppose to be at 155 or something?

110? that's weird, everyone else can take theirs to 155 or 160 the day they drive off the lot

Something is seriously wrong here. There is no speed limiter so far as I know other than a high rpm fuel cut off. I've even had my roadster over 140mph with room to go. Unless, some other company/state agency mandates such a speed regulator in your state, I would have it checked out. You should be good for at least 150mph right off the dealer lot.

I have a 2003 and I can tell you for a fact that there is no limiter at 110mph.

Good point. Damn n00bs. He probably has an Altima or something else with a VQ engine in it. Basically the only way to do it no matter what car you have is a reflash of the ECU.

You can go faster than 110 mph ; but from 111 mph and up you have to assist the car by opening the door and using your foot.

This will get you to at least 155 mph but first decide which foot is stronger.
