Evne the Rouge , with rubber isolation is not 100% rattle free.

No, 350EVO actually now makes their own. It's similar to Rouge but more track oriented , with bearing tpye fulcrum and no rubber isolation. Prolly not ideal for street use due ot extra vibration.

I have a version of the 350evo shifter on my car, but it is going to be replaced with an updated version because the factory shift **** did not thread on. Should be here in a day or two. I'll post a review then. So far the noise level is not too bad. But I don't really want to post much until the final version is installed.

just after I slather grease onto the shifter cup sleeve m Rougue gets perfectly then eventually it get get louder after driven a few 100 miles. The Mossey O-ring should provide a similar isolation as the short term greaseing does, maybe .

You are all nuts ! The B&M short shifter works perfectly when installed by a professional. Most of us are not professionals even though we think we are.
Alot of research and thought went into my purchase. I didnt want to get ****** either. If you are ignoring my thread on an honest review of the B&M then I guess you will all have a problem.
If you dont believe me ask adam at Z1. All these bad reviews are from members who installed their shifters incorrectly ! Believe me no one has done as much research on the short shifters that are out than me.
And I was correct in my assumption that the B&M is the best shifter for our Zs. It was impossible for some members saying it was great ! No rattles no vibrations. And then some members were complaining about too many problems. I came to one conclusion; if the shifter was installed correctly it worked perfectly just like B&M said it should.
I love this shifter and wouldnt trade it for any other. Come to vegas with all your mods and sub standard short shifters and I will smoke you unless you have FI.
My point ! I can now shift as fast as I need to. The great thing is no problems no rattles no vibrations no down side to this shifter.
Do yourselves a favor, and ignore the bad reviews on B&M they're wrong. If you do enough research and read everything you can you will come to the same conclusion I did. All the other shifters have 95% bad reviews.
Now if your wife or girlfriend drives your car I guess you will have to get the next best thing; the nismo mossy.

Very ! Sorry but sometimes you have to use verbal violence to get peoples attention. And the only reason I did is because I would like to see all our members happy.
The shifter is a big part of the Z,s driving experience. When I see some people having problems and others not it rings a bell. I just want everyone to ignore the bad reviews on the B&M.
Let an experienced driveline specialist install your B&M shifters and you all will be even more excited when you go to drive your Z,s. I cant tell you what a difference this shifter makes in the driving experience.
I would look forward to driving my car before the new shifter but now its like having sex. Ill say it again. The B&M is the best shifter for our Z,s and I do not work for B&M.

Poizon, glad the B&M worked out for you. I don't think we are nuts for wanting to try new and different products though.
The reason I went with the EVO one is because I spend a lot of time at the track and a 30% throw sounds like it would be the best one for ME. It would be a boring planet if we all had the same mods on our cars.

Sorry ! I didnt mean to be rude. I suppose Im not willing to wait for evo Your experience with the shifter seems to be taking a long time and the stock shifter sucks. I was really counting on the evo to blow away the B&M because of all the bad reviews even though I have now found out it would be hard to do better than the B&M it truely is perfect.
I couldnt imagine anyone driving my car and saying anything derog about the shifter. Like I said I wasnt trying to be rude just defending the B&M.
I do hope your new evo shifter turns out to be just as great if not better thans I think the B&M is. Like I said I waited long enough and took a chance, and I'm glad I did.
And I am sorry for calling everyone nuts. Surely I'm the one who is nuts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

shifter comparo
I drove stock for a few k miles, drove Rouge for a few k miles and
just installed the Mossy Adjustable about 100 miles ago. I'm pretty picky about shifters, So far, I like it very much in all settings. I have also driven a B&M equipped Z a few miles. So I'm prolly one of the few to have sampled all the big 4.
The Mossy in it's "shortest" setting feels comparable and possibly smoother than the B&M.
The "next to shortest" feels just like the Rouge , but a little quieter >5k rpm.
The "mid" setting feel just like stock.
The "long" settiing shifts as easy a honda accord. My wife likes this setting.
Adjusting is really easy with two hands.
Mossy seems to have made a great product. If you like the adjustablity of the Tein Dampers , for example, you'll also like the Mossy shifter.
This comparo is all subjective an just IMO. on a G35C.

There you go a perfect review on all four. B&M and Nismo/Mossy win. Still waiting on the Evo. The 3.9 is the best! and Im sure we will hear good things about their short shifter as well.
Believe me I will be the first to pull the B&M out if BJ out does them. Not really couldnt be happier with what I have.

It's worth pointing out that fitting a non-OEM shift **** can alter the behaviour of any shifter. My Rogue shifts shorter than 20% simply because the **** sits more than an inch lower than OEM.
I also have no vibration issues at any RPM, probably because the **** is heavier than OEM. I'm fitting a Stillen engine damper this week; it'll be interesting to see whether there are any problems with vibration afterwards.
Effort is up, but the additional mass of the **** helps there as well. Interestingly enough, the 1-2 and 2-3 balkiness at higher RPMs that my '03 has shown since day 1 is completely gone.
I don't need adjustability, since I'm the only one driving my Z, and I suspect the B&M would be _too_ short with my lower ****. Getting the Rogue shipped for $192 in a GB made it the best choice for my Z, bar none.
