Question 4.3 and 3.8

I can't remember what site I saw these stroker kits on, but my question is, why is the 3.8 kit nearly 12 grand when the 4.3 kit is substantially lower in cost? I'd figure the 4.3 kit would produce more power therefore it should cost more. And what is your opinion of both kits? Is it better to go with a F/I kit instead?

it depends on the price of the cost to product the components and of course the price the manufacturer assigns to it

hardly anyone or no one is running any of these kits that I've ever heard of...or at least has them fully functioning on their Z...

How about a short block VQ40DE, according to Nissan litrature, its a stroked out VQ35DE 81.4mm to 92mm and increased main bearing to 70mm and has a forged crank. It also uses the same heads as the VQ35.I know it has not been tried yet, but It seems like it would fit with little or no problems.

So say if these kits were installed, wouldn't the 4.3 produce way more power?

But does a VQ40 fit? Not even all VQ35's are interchangeable.

Also it has a forged crank yes....I cannot think of a modern car that doesn't at this point. But, no forged pistons, no forged rods, not balanced to rev high...apples to oranges

I was drooling all over that 4.3 stroker kit, but then realized how far you could rev the nismo engine along with the spec 2 cams
