Did you do a before dyno to compare?

You will find out all Z's are different, plus that pop charge when you are running in the dyno with the hood up will suck in some hot air as opposed to when the hood is closed.

But one one dyno day we have a lot of variations in Z's go here for results of that day http://www.sfzcc.com/Events/2004/dynoday03/

If you want to double check we will be having a club dyno day where you will be able to check against other Z and see what you get go here for more info http://www.sfzcc.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=716

Yes you need a ecu reflash, a proper tune is needed to make hp.

I agree. From my research here on the forums, mods like testpipes/hi flow cats, and plenums will lean out the A/F ratio significantly.

Also, is your car a 6MT or 5AT trans? That will make a difference since the autos will dyno a bit lower than a 6MT.

Is there any chance you could post the dyno plots?

look at my mods and someone explain why I'm getting 257rhp on the dyno

this car is making me feel horrible. I've spent around $14000 modding it and I have a car that puts down 257rwhp, have a check engine light on all the time saying i'm misfiring, it's harder to drive because the throw out bearing on the tilton just sucks and sounds horrible.

I thought my car would be awesome with my mods, but it's just a headache

I was disappointed with my N/A run w/o my No2, but I am hoping that a reflash will do the trick along with some cams. If not, it is time to get some F/I with NO2

let me ask all this since there is disappointment going N/A. Would yall have invested that money into reinforcement of the motor and going F/I would yall been happy then going that route?

I realized very early on that the NA modifications were not going to yield any big improvements. The engine just seems to be just about maxed out from the factory. That is the reason that I went FI. This really is the "bang for the buck" modification for this car IMO.

i personally dont give a s*** about dyno numbers or wutever.. if the car feels faster than stock and feels faster when you do more mods thats good enough.. dyno;s are a bunch of bs!

Well for one you have some big heavy wheels on the car which will affect your Dyno numbers, but I also agree that an ECU flash could make a big difference on your car.

You are not too far off I had 265 RWHP with an AF of around 13 so not lean with the following:

Injen Intake
Kinetix Plenum
Kinetix Test Pipes
Japtrix Y-pipe
Fujitsubo Exhaust
Grounding kit

What was your AF ratio? Plus as mentioned your wheels will rob you some HP, I have the light weight Track Rays so they help.

The most I have heard of was a 285 RWHP around here that had Headers and CAMS on top of what I had.

After going through it for a couple of years, if I knew then what I know now I would have insalled FI first and then work on the rest. But that is spending all money up front as oppossed to a little here and alittle there.

N/A tuned is not like Forc-induction tuned, it's not best bang for the buck. 2ndly maybe those part you chose didn't work well togther. That happens when you mix parts for different brands, a
