Default Oil Cooler

In the video where a Z, Boxter, S2000, and M3 are compared, they mention that the Z has an oil cooler.

Is this nec.?

Available?

Benefits or drawbacks?

Well..an oil cooler was suggested to me for my car. I am going to install my APS kit soon. Where I live in California the temp in the summer gets as high as 110 F. So my car is going to endure some extreme temps with being turboed. Was going to get an upgraded radiator also to ease the strain on the car.

I'd like to see where people with a FMIC are mounting their oil coolers. Theres not a whole lot of room left with the FMIC there. Plus you still need to get flow to your stock radiator and PS cooler.

Good thinking Calimarc. My install is just finishing up soon. I too live in Cali and I was thinking the same thing. So I decided to do a 3 step cooling process. 1 radiator, got to keep the water (coolant) for the turbos cool and the engine, 2 Lower thermostat to keep the operating temp low, 3 the oil cooler to keep that temp down for the engine and turbos.
