I will be going for that mod soon I would say.... probably the new spacer will do a great job to feed some more air for those high angle cams...
cheers,
richie

yeah.... I can feel the gain from above 2500rpm... not too bad I would say.... and the VTCs are really needed if you want to go for the wild cams.... otherwise you will not be possible to use all of those higher lift/angle advantage I believe... and also comes with the software to control VTCs, there ain't much options out there really... so whoever can change the OEM ECU or come up with a good and cheap after market ECU to go with the VTC + cams will be the money maker...

Richie,
thanks for the offer, I may have to take you up on it in the future if we move the car to another race class. I think you need to get a Hollinger gearbox for your Z, should make it a bit faster under acceleration....... Are you a V8 Supercar fan?
Thawk408,
I know there are more parts changes to the 35th Anv motor than what I listed, my point is, that according to Nissan Competition the extra 13hp is coming almost entirely from the software upgrade, since the motor is now reving to 7000rpm, a lot of the other parts (new rod bolts, valve springs etc) are there to keep the motor reliable for the next 150k miles. This information was given to me by Nissan Comp in response to my inquiry about purchasing some of these parts to put in the engine of my racecar, their response was it was a waste of money if I already had engine software.

It all depends to what the calibration is on these dynos of course but people say that these DD dynos are more "realistic" than others. But then, dynojet seems to be the industry standard so that's another long talk.

The numbers are just that, numbers. The thing to look @ are the delta between where you stared and finished.
Back to the thread topic, thanks for the information and the documentation. Decent gains w/ keeping the streetability.

this setup is nice, be sure to wait for 350evo's plenum.
it'll be really insteresting to see how this setup react with a good NA plenum.
PS lucky you with the Motec.

I ended up spending like a bit over 15K AUS for the kits with Motec M600 computer... since Nismo Japan does not want to sell the computer to us... they said: Either we install the car or you don't get the computer nor the engine cover nor the modified intake system.... that's why I went with MoTeC instead and will do my own intake system later on.

I think everyone is waiting for the EVO setup now... because it is purely design for the N/A tuning and I am more likely to go for this setup and hopefully can get a few extra horses out on the rear wheels...
cheers,
richie
