What Clutch And Flywheel?? Jwt Or Rps
Here is a link to the friction plate.... $65

It doesn't say "optional" anywhere that I can tell, it just says to replace the wearing surface. So, to me that means as the flywheel pressure plate wears out, if it wears out, you can replace it for a mere $65 and not have to buy a whole new flywheel.
RPS: I actually don't see a 350Z clutch available, only the flywheel which is 18 lbs. (4 lbs heavier than the JWT). There are 2 different 300ZTT clutches, which are rated at 400 TQ and 490 TQ... and I assume that is flywheel TQ, since it is describing a clutch
JWT, from what I have read, can easily handle 500 RWHP/TQ.
To me, since nobody is having JWT problems, the answer is pretty clear. imo

a bit off topic, but i, too, am looking to upgrade my clutch and flywheel. i am considering the tilton street setup, but what concerns me about it is that although it is street-able, it doesn't seem too street-friendly. today, i had to back out of a diagonal (not parallel) parking space going uphill, and i wondered how hard it would be to pull off that maneuver with the tilton setup.
do all the a/m flywheels make noise? sure would be nice to find one that doesn't. it also would be nice to find a thread that lists the pros and cons of each brand, but i can't seem to find one.
