Default Could the VQ be THE best V6 on the market?

I was just trying to think of what engines other manufacturers are using and if any of the available V6's in them are superior to the VQ. The answer so far is, NO. Can anyone think of a better V6 on the market?

the m3 is an I6

the only motor better than the vq is probably the one in the nsx. I can think of a few i6's and a flat 6 that are better, but thats about it.

M3's use a straight 6, not a V6. The Acura is a killer motor but IMO is not better than the VQ. It's not as torquey, probably due to the difference in displacement. Honda makes good HP but their stock engines need a little more TQ in my opinion.

I'm talking stock for stock. Right off the assembly line. No mods, no adjustments, not the predicted potential of how well it will mate with a particular system of FI. Maybe the new 3.5 Benz V6 that's in the SLK? It's getting good marks.

2JZ is a pretty tough motor. Better than the VQ stock? I guess that depends if you include the twins.

I think you have to factor in the ability of teh motor to produce more power.
If not then I must say the VQ is pretty damn bad@ss!

2JZ-GTE is an I6.

Edit: Probably the 425hp TT V6 in the Nobles is better (M400). It's based off of the Taurus engine I think.

The next generation IS supposedly has a 3.5 L V6 engine making over 300 hp. Toyota engines are known to be reliabe and strong, so I'm guessing that this new engine will be no different.

Oops, yeah I forgot that little detail.

VQ35 rules V6 then!

Yeah, currently, easily the best V6. Like mentioned, Toyota's 3.5 V6 that will be in the new IS series and the NSX 3.2 V6 are good competitors.

Good V6 competition (I'll repeat some):

3.5L V6 in SLK350 Merc (268hp)
3.5L V6 in Acura RL (300hp)
3.2L V6 in Acura NSX (290hp)
3.6L V6 in CTS (255hp)
3.5L V6 in Chrysler 300 (250hp)
3.0L V6 in Honda Accord (240hp)
3.2L V6 in VW R32 (240hp)

bascelik- you beat me to the VW R32 V6, but the next VW badboy will be the R36, which should be stout as well, although I do not know any predicted horsepower numbers.
