Sup guys im trying to help my bud and his 350z
he went to start car this morning and car started and turned right back off by itself car has approx.13,000 and has never has a problem , battery has power as well as altenator?

could this be a fuse or what not?

also car attempts to start but does not turnover (start) just the crank noise ,also car has plently of gas..?

what can this be?

 

have you checked your fuse for your fuel pump?

sounds like when you started it the first time you used all of the fuel left in the line and new fuel isn't being pumped to the engine.

that would be my guess

What year is the Z? I used to have intermittent starting issues and there's a TSB for the Crank Angle Sensor for the 2003 . . .

 

my car is an 03 , car is currently at the dealer (under warranty) and they said the the ECU is bad for some reason and they will be replacing it , so i have to wait for the ECU to arrive at the dealer in a couple of days.. so im carless till then.

still dont know what may have caused this , i have never messed with ECU or run the car hard?

 

Just chalk that one up to bad luck . . . It's rare to have a bad ecu warranty claim.

 

Carless? you should have a rental or loaner bro, and it better atleast be a new altima (don't settle for the Sentra automatic 1.6 S OMG that thing slowed down when I floored it as my rental the 1st time. BOGGGGG

 

As mentioned, you should be given a decent loaner vehicle . . . . most reputable dealers don't want you ticked off for a warranty issue.

 

something happened similar to your story to me just days ago. i was at a light and since im used to my Exedy Hyper Clutch for my s2000 that i had been driving all day, i stalled my Z at a light. when i tried to restart her, nothing happened. i immediatly pushed the car to the side and called a tow truck. in the mean time waiting for the tow truck i check my fuses. my ign. fuse blew. before the tow truck came, i call him to tell him i didnt need the tow anymore. called my brother who has a Z, swapped fuses and i was off. went to nissan today with the blown fuse and swapped it for a new one, no questions asked.
