Seems like I read somewhere that there's an issue with the Z gastank with heavy cornering, that because of the design it can potentially starve the fuel pump which in turn can starve the engine from gas.

Is this true or is the gas tank a pretty much perfect design?

Is anyone working on any aftermarket gastanks?

I am sure Phunk could answer this better than myself but with the way the siphon works and the way the cannister is on the bottom of the pump assembly...it would take some time to empty the can of fuel if the siphon stopped working. And the only way the siphon could stop working is if the fuel was COMPLETELY removed from the bottom of the passenger side of the tank. You would have to be racing with almost no fuel and in a hard corner for several seconds to starve it.

I never had a problem, and I've run until I probably only have 2 gallons left (fuel light goes on before last session). But, I'm not running race tires...

I haven't heard of the tank starving under cornering but it sure does act really wierd driving normally. Everytime I "fill up" my car it never reads full on the gauge. I dont bother filling it up anymore (weight reduction :P) but when it reaches "---- dte" I can go like 60 miles no prob and later I'll turn on the car and the guage reads a little over empty when b4 it read empty. Its just not accurate :/ Anyone else have this prob?
