DISABLING the brake/gas fuel cutoff ??
Has anyone successfully been able to disable the stupid function where hitting the brake & gas pedals together cuts fuel to the engine ?
It pisses me off cause I can't:
A) Heel & Toe
B) Brake boost !@#!
ARGH.
Anyone ?

Hmm.. I dont have this problem. I have an 03 Enthusiast and disable my TCS. I heel toe with no problems. Maybe the VDC in higher model cars does this, I hate unnecessary technology. :/
here's what i did; i tapped the red/yellow brake signal wire before it connects to the brake pedal (there are two connectors; brown & white). the white connector contains the red/yellow wire so as i said i tapped it and connected this to a push button switch. then i ran the switch to the blank switch next to the tcs button, and installed it there. and voila, instant burnouts!!!

here's a second pic. this is the switch i used (picked it up at lowes actually).

and a final pic of the switch installed. sorry its a little out of focus, i took the pics right after the install and was in a hurry to try it out.

I seem to recall Raceboy saying that he still had throttle while doing heavy braking heel-toes, but only like 1/3 as much as he should. So he could still blip on a heel-toe, but it was like being in slow motion. I've noticed this too. My blips rise faster if I'm not braking heavily (or not braking at all).
I remember someone coming up with an electronic schematic for overriding this. I think the brake lights would still work too, if I remember correctly. The problem is that the Z will go into safe/limp mode if it doesn't see the brake pedal pressed after a certain amount of time while driving.
I was thinking a good approach would be to do the same circuit (if I could find it again), but have a switch on the clutch. If the clutch is pressed, then don't pass the brake info to the ECU. Not sure how all this affects anti-lock and VDC though.

As far as heel-toeing, I've never had a problem doing it. Maybe I've just learned to work with it? With my lightened flywheel I already find myself sometimes revving a bit too high during a heel-toe downshift, so I can't really see a need to be able to do so faster.
And I can't do big burnouts, regardless, because I get big wheel hop and that would result in big broken axles. <sigh>

But it could also be that, even with the throttle reduced, you're still getting enough power to do a burn out. It doesn't cut your throttle completely when you step on the brakes. It just reduces throttle. Here's how you can see if you car does this:
Get on the freeway or some other long straight with no traffic around you. While cruising down the road in 6th, give it full throttle and hold it. Then, with your left foot, slowly press in the brake pedal. At some point, before the brakes actually grab, it'll activate the throttle reduction. You'll feel your car stop pulling quite so much. If you then let off the brake pedal slowly, you'll feel the power suddenly come back in. It's like a switch, and you feel it turn on and off as you press the brake pedal in and out. It doesn't take much brake pedal action to engage it. Just a little. About the time your brake lights come on, I imagine.
