Please post about driving impressions when you drive it. I want a better than OEM LSD that isn't going to make noise.

i'm rather positive that you don't need to rearrange the plates, i'm pretty sure there is an easy way to switch between the settings -- i'll have to check mine out when the rear end arrives

edit: ok, just looked it up and though i haven't found directions, found that you can only change it during an overhaul, so it sounds a bit more complicated than i thought (more towards rearranging plates) -- my directions are in japanese, so it's slow-going in figuring it out!

The Nismo LSD is the only one that is "easily" adjustable... I believe all other lsd's require plate rearrangement as stated... Try calling Z1 in NY. I believe they are big cusco dealers..

yes, you must rearrange the plates in order to change the lookup, but leave it as is ... its fine.

Isn't going to make noise? Hah, good luck. If you want a clutch-type LSD then you will get noise.

Not true.....the NISMO is actually the same unit as the Cusco MZ. Both are adjustable for LSD action (1.5 way to 2 way) via the cam adjustment on the side of the diff - very easy. The RS verison steps this up by having a sprung hub - makes for less noise, and much smoother engagement compared to a solid hub design (ala KAAZ and NISMO). To change lockup % though, the disks much be rearranged

I did pop, but that was before the RedLine oil (refer to sig), which you should use with this LSD

humm. not from what i have driven. the cusco rs is by far one of the best lsd's when it comes to noise. a friend of mine has one on his z and it is very quiet. his lockup is 100% as well, but then again he pushing 420whp.
