single channel is fine, unless you want to monitor both banks of the exhuast.

I like the look of the AEM and Innovate products, but its mostly personal preference. Both very good quality. I lean towards the Innovate becuase it has recording and datalogging capabilty, and is only .75 inches thick. Not to mention its about $75 less than the AEM.

I sell them on my site for $375 SHIPPED (backordered everywhere until 5/10), and I can match any price out there. Dont forget shipping, becuase some of the low ball websites have high shipping costs.

OK I'm stuck in this same situation. I'm new to FI, but I'm looking to take the leap near the end of August, so I'm trying to get my parts lined up early.

Back to the dual vs. single channel thing. Is it unusual to see a significant difference in the A/F ratio on one bank versus the other? In other words would I be justifiably paranoid if I am only using a single channel to monitor one bank, or if a lean condition occurs am I going to see it on both banks and not just one side?

Last question for now. Does anyone know what the diameter of the Innovate XD-1 gauge is? I've got a G coupe so if I go with the Innovagte I want to get from mounting the gauge on my dash.

I was in the market for a wideband gauge last week myself, and I was pretty set on the AEM wideband, but after talking to Sharif he linked me towards the Innovate wideband and told me about some of its special features.

Here's a little excerpt of what Sharif told me about the Innovate wideband that really got me interested in it and convinced me to go with it:
"The numbers are larger, the gauge is thinner, and they just look way nicer. Check out the pics on my website for more detail. They are $375 shipped. They can also be completely programmed, and the log peak and low A/F, and they easily connect to a laptop for easy datalogging. The AEM doesnt offer any of these features. The Innovate guage has a faster sampling rate than the AEM..."
The Innovate wideband gauge is 2.5" in diameter and it looks very nice IMO. Its also about $70 cheaper than the AEM wideband so thats another plus.

I got the AEM for $327 at rpmoutlet.com (using the coupon code on the front page you get $50 off the listed price), seems like a good deal.
I sort of wish I got the innovative though because the digits (LED Segments) are AMBER and its supposedly a little better.

Jaki & 35ounces are you monitoring both exhaust banks, or just one side?

nah, Sharif is the only one I know that monitors both banks.

If anyone wants to trade an innovative for the AEM (still in the box) lemme know!

A single channel wideband will be just fine.
