Anyone use this Fuel Injector Cleaner (44K)
Dirty injectors or fluffy carbon on intake valve stems/acks restrict ether fuel or air. Cleaning up the effects of low detergent gasoline cannot help MPG, if anything it might get a tiny bit worse as the correct mixture [all individual cylinders getting close to the same amounts of each].
Now deposits on piston crowns raise running compression pressure......more earlier knock requiring more octane or a cooler charge........you get a cooler charge by running extra rich [more than can burn with amount of air] gasoline mixture
Sometimes good to alternate cleaners as each are slightly different. one may clean up what the other leaves or creates!
Most local gasoline [epa containment area] is the same batched together from pipelines into the tank farms [called fungible] and only differences are detergent additives and amounts. Ethanolized is splash blended as the tanker trucks are filled as are the additives.........as the gasoline storage tanks have water residuals [which would react with ethanol] from the between load pigs/slugs.............water is used to divide the pipeline loads.

so Q45TECH, what should i do? im at 26K on my G35. you've been right on everything else you've said so far. tell me what to do please.!!
i know the S4 guys swear by the cleaners....

If a single dirty injector flows 10% less fuel in the time all the other 3 are open in a single revolution................the each bank O2 sensor takes the average of the 3 cylinders and sends a BANK adjustment to those 3 open times.
X+X+0.9X= 2.9X/3=0.96666 so the other 2 might be commanded to open 1.5% longer to make up the average. This extra fuel probably doesn't create more power and the 10% leaner than desired probably creates less power. But again the total torque is the sum of the individual cylinders.
Why cleaning marginally dirty injectors doesn't improve gas mileage at least enough to notice.
Primarily an idle smoothness issue as long as the injector flows at least 90% of the others.........why we do power balance test to determine if all cylinders are with a few % [rpm drop when fuel/ignition is shut down sequentially for each cylinder]......how much is each cylinder contributing to rpm at 1200 rpm.
When the variations get beyond 10-20% [say 20 rpms the lack of idle smoothness is feelable to the expert].
After BG44k and especially after BG Fuel Injector rail flush Regular or Super [Super creates highly carcogenic fumes and must be done outdoors] severe cleaner [10-50 x stronger than BG44K] the power balance will show little variation...........before after testing shows the results [if infact the problem was dirty injectors or dirty valve stems/backs-----even cleans spark plugs to some extent].
Current gasoline is so bad that injectors can get bad [variance] in as little as 3,000 miles.........really bad batch can do it in 500 miles.
Most of my experience is on older Q45/J30/G20 so it may not be perfectly accurate for the G35.........only time will tell.
